Many of you would probably have found bugs or have feedbacks that you would want Microsoft to know about. Many would probably be aware that a new link called "Feedback Overview" is available at Microsoft Connect. After searching through the submitted bugs / feedback, and you want to submit a new one, you will probably click the "New Feedback" link. Please take note that the link shouldn't be there. Vista team prefers to gather bugs / feedback via Microsoft Beta Client... Be patient and let the Connect team smooth out the rough edges...
I was lucky I could uninstall the offending software... Those who can guess the software I've installed, don't try it at your production machine!!!
I missed my trillian after using MSN for 5 minutes! I'm lost in the sea of contacts in my MSN... People like (*)³, another 3 days..., Fly!!! 勤政, ħıŋģкặľ_i give up on my class and my school_, I've no idea who are these people!!!
P.S. Sorry, no offence meant... Long day...
My IM client, (Trillian) has crash when it connects to MSN, because I install certain software... Make a lucky guess! I have not decided whether to use MSN or still use trillian for other IMs or both, BUT i'm definitely not keen to use both at the same time.
Microsoft may be in trouble for naming its forthcoming operating system Vista after it transpired that the name has been registered by an American company for nearly six years. Vista, which operates a small business internet...

Somewhere last year or beginning of this year, I just sent my girlfriend home, and was waiting for the bus to go home myself. That night, the bus took particularly long, and as you probably guessed from the title, I noticed a caterpillar.
Just to describe, the scene, the bus stop has a bus bay, followed by three lanes and then the road divider. Hence there is a total of four lanes, busy lanes. The caterpillar begins to crawl down onto the road. No buses came, so it made its way across the bus bay quite easily. Then it started to make its way across the first lane. I can't tell whether it look towards the right first, then towards the left, and cross, it made its way quite easily as no vehicle passed by at that time. Quite *** for that road.
Reaching the start of the second lane, it continues crawling. Along came a few cars. Nope, no horn horn, the drivers probably won't notice or bother about a caterpillar! But as I watched the car goes by, the turbulence caused by the car blew it back to the middle of the first lane! The caterpillar didn't seem to bother, and continues.. Another car went by, and this time, the tires barely cleared the caterpillar, and it went underneath the car! Few cars went by, and it made it to the start of the third lane. I thought that was lucky, it probably won't make it through the third.
Few cars came by, and blew the caterpillar back twice. But after much persistance, the caterpillar finally made it to the road divider, and just nice, my bus came.
I boarded the bus, thinking "wah... such a lucky caterpillar". But suddenly, God spoked to me. He reminded about this verse, and said, "Nothing happens by chance. I took care of the caterpillar, so how much more will I take care of you. Seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added onto you."
This story, was engraved into my mind, which helped me pull through the darkest time of my life yet. I hope this will encourage you to continue to press in, and not be sucked into this world.
Will find time to share with you how God provided for me, that gave me faith to believe in His providence.
Surfing around, I stumbled upon
this, an audio file that recorded the Dec 26 Earthquake.
Hmm... after hearing so many people saying that CMS is merging with SharePoint, today is the first time I'm hearing something different. Someone told me that CMS is not merging with SharePoint, not in the coming release...
Confused...
When you create a mobile workspace for sharepoint on Groove, please note that Groove does not recognise Contact list in SharePoint as an address book. If you select a contact from outlook, and send it to Groove, Groove will ask you if you want to add a contact tool on the workspace. This contact tool will not be sync with SharePoint site.
I've just installed groove on my laptop. When I want to create a workspace, I'm quite surprised to see "Mobile Workspace for SharePoint" in their list of templates! Of course, I immediately created one, linking to the SharePoint workspace SGDN already has. It allows you to choose which list / document library you want to sync with.
Once created, Groove shows you a lightweight homepage of sharepoint, minus lots of formatting. Changes I immediately noticed is there is an additional list created by groove to store synchronisation data.
Besides being able to bring the data stored in SharePoint around with you, my first impression with Groove wasn't exactly great, because of the following reasons:
1. I choose automatic sync, so I'm not sure this applies to manual option. If you choose automatic sync, there is no clear cut way of initiating a sync. This scenario is useful when you know the other party has added something important and you want to get it immediately.
2. For events, there is no calendar view. It just shows a list of events, which is not useful for planning purposes, IMHO.
3. When you insert events from groove, it does not capture the time. I think groove won't display time information either.
Things I'm not sure...
Recently, I was assigned a maintenance project to maintain a sharepoint 2001 system. I went to try install the system on a new virtual server, but I got this error once the portal is set up.
-------------------------------------------------------
1. System webparts like Subscription, Categories, Search and Document Library webparts are giving problems

Did a search and found that KB824151 affected sharepoint. Uninstall and it works fine...
Wah... Serena comes up with a cool feature in BeWizard. She added a checkbox at the column selection and configuration screen, called "Format Display Names". Some of the columns in a table might contain two words, which most developer will just put glue and stick them together. When Paladin was first introduced to SGDN, when the entity list was bound to the datagrid, the header takes the name of the column, which I didn't like. So I requested for a display name column, to specify the header. Since then, I have been putting a lot of effort adding a space in between the words, so that the header looks nicer.
I got the latest release (R3-Beta 1) from Serena two days back, but didn't have a chance to upgrade my paladin for the event system I'm building for SGDN. I'm working on a paging control, so I want to finish that before I update paladin. Just only, when I run the BeWizard, I noticed a few new things.
1. BeWizard can now generate classes for tables, views, or both.
2. Format Display Name... Whats that? When I click it, WAH!!!! The words that make up the column name some how don't like each other and seperate themselves magically!!! You uncheck it, the words suddenly run towards each other and give a bear hug!!! Its fun... I keep clicking the check box!!!
After ISV technology update, I have been trying to send emails out directly from word, but I was stuck with this. Globals.ThisDocument.MailEnvelop.Item. What is the type!!!
After searching around, and speaking to Shunjie, I realise that VSTO 2005 only as word and excel component. Outlook has to be downloaded seperately here...
Look at
this screen shots!!! I hope the game play lives up as well, then I can't wait to get my hands on xbox 360!
