For those running outlook B2, do not install the desktop search for the time being... the current version will break your search, as it is not compatible... A new version should be released soon... i think...

Those who have uninstalled outlook 2003 and installed outlook 2007 on their production laptop, which connects to the exchange server, PLEASE make sure that your outlook is downloading your exchange emails...

I wasn't receiving any emails for the past three days, after installing outlook 2007 on my IBM (no, i still won't call it levono) laptop, until I smell something fishy... I sent myself an email, and true enough, it is not downloading...

Removing the exchange connection and reconnecting it solved the problem. :)

And now I am able to choose the delivery location of each email account (currently i have four) to the specific personal folder or exchange mailbox! :) Previously, I can't, and I got configure my exchange to deliver to my personal folder, and use rules to move it back to the exchange mailbox, which is stupid and gave me a problem. My exchange inbox is not synchronising with my exchange server...

Yeh! I'm a happy man with my Office 2007!

Just came across this post made my Joe Friend. Might not be a compelling reason for enterprises to upgrade to Office 2007, unless there is a blogging culture, but Word 2007 now allows you to make posts! And best of all, it supports Community Server, and SharePoint 2007!

Microlau, another tool in our toolbox!

I've actually went to my house on saturday... But I didn't bring my camera along, as I'm going to my neighbour's house to sand my ikea furniture... Didn't want my camera to be dirty... So this morning, I went up to take some pictures, especially the kitchen floor.

So here it is, the toilet tiles... Nice?

Then the kitchen tiles... They purposely any how put concrete to have an uneven surface so that the new tiles will stick...

When I was at my house on Thursday, to my horror, I've already noticed that the tiler did not remove the original tiles at the side of the curb before putting on the new ones. It is going to be ugly, as the tiles will not be inline with the skirting of the laminate flooring. On Monday, I remember the contractor saying that the old tiles cannot be removed. As my ID really goes by the book, and is very firm about it, I was really disappointed, and really don't know what to do...

On Saturday, I called my ID and asked him about it... He says, "Don't worry, got me around, I sure take care of it one. I've already told the contractor to redo that part. They will fix it on Monday". Sure enough, this morning, I noticed a black line is drawn on the tiles.

During lunch time, I went back to my house to take a look, to make sure that the contractor do not start tiling the kitchen first, as I want them to align the tiles with the living room. I saw my ID there as well, talking to the contractor. After discussing with me some issues about the tiles, we went up to my neighbour's house, which was also done by him. After telling him that the door cannot open up, because of the foyer tiles, he immediately called the contractor up. Later, he told was looking around and tell another contractor to touch up here, touch up there.

After seeing the way he handles my neighbour's house without us telling him about the defects first, I'm really happy I got him to do, even though he isn't the cheapest. I think I'm quite blessed by God. Haven't really had any trouble with ID, suppliers and such. Renovation experience was really enjoyable so far! Hope this last!

In the last election, SDP was at Jurong GRC to contest. I couldn't choose SDP because I call them the Sound Distortion Party (Noise maker). This year, they were not there to contest. In fact, I thank God that I do not need to vote it was a walk over victory for the PAP team. Why was I glad when everyone was eager to vote?

To me, opposition was not really a compelling choice, as they did not come up with solid ideas.

Workers Party lack integrity. Integrity is something that must be protected, as once lost, it is very difficult to gain...

PAP? Well, I had no qualms in voting for them... But after I read the papers about them using upgrading as a carrot...

Contrary to what MM Lee said that our government is a first world government, this act just shot themselves on their own foot... At least to me...

I was very glad that the opposition wards remain opposition wards.

In the morning of 27th April, I went up to my place to take pictures as I know that the false ceiling phase is going to start. In the afternoon, I was required at my house to sign some papers. When I was there, the false ceiling skeleton is already up! That was really fast!

By Friday, all the false ceiling is already done... Foyer, Dining Room, Living Room, Master Bedroom...

Living Room False Ceiling

MBR False Ceiling

MBR False Ceiling

I spend an hour of so discussing with my ID how the tiles are to be laid... There are so many considerations to take... Should the tiles start with this wall, or that wall, or at the center of the passage way. How small the pieces of tiles would be at the other end of the room. Should the kitchen tiles start at the wall, or should it match the line of the living room tiles...

Having decided, I couldn't wait to see what is the outcome when the tiles are laid.

The men laying the tiles came shortly. Byron went on to explain everything to them. I listen and I couldn't understand everything... Even though my ID explained everything very clearly to me... I guess I'm still very layman, and this skill that my ID has, I wish I have, so that I could explain things clearly to business users, as well as technical audiences.

After which, we went up to my neighbour's house. His tiles are done up... I love his toilet wall. :)

Can't wait to see the finished product. :)
