SQL 2005 developer edition for development server

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. Is this version of SQL 2005 available locally in Microsoft office or we have to go through the USD20(shipping fee) way to get the installation CD? is there a place for us to download?

I supposed this version does have any expiry date right?

If you are on MSDN subscription, you can download it from there. Note: Developer edition cannot be deployed on production machines.

Developer Edition is actually available for sale via retail stores. You'd probably have to approach the bigger stores like Challenger which carry a wide variety of business software.

If you want to purchase locally and have the intention of buying 5 or more copies of Microsoft software, you can also seek Microsoft resellers to get Volume Licensing discounts. Resellers themselves obtain licenses from Microsoft LARS/distributors like SIS or Ingram Micro.

For a choice of companies that resell Microsoft software, you might be able to get a listing from those distributors.
